Doodles #2

Sweet Jesus a new post! On top of that it's a doodle(ish) post...madness! Being on my puter has been lame lately because I need to reformat it (for the third time, pretty much once per year is the pattern so far), but I've been hesitating because reformatting means I have to give up Photoshop (along with the rest of the sexy Adobe CS4 Suite). All my files are backed up onto my external, but unfortunately programs don't work that way. *le sigh* I'll have most of my programs back eventually (I hope *knocks on wood*) and I officially can't stand not knowing what's going to make my laptop freeze up. I haven't had much motivation for anything except sleeping which I'm failing at too. I need a new job or to go to school so I can get a new job. I just don't know what to do first and the more I think about it the more everything feels against me succeeding. If anyone wants a commission from me I'd be more than happy to draw something, make a plush, make a keychain/cellphone charm/pin in exchange for money. My cousin actually commissioned a Hello Kitty pillow from me and that's what I've been working on lately when I'm not distracted. Pikachu has been finished for quite some time now...

Pikachu on my head

Kimmychu actually squealed when she pulled it out of the gift bag. It took her a while to realize I had made it myself though.

The entire gift

There are close up shots at my DeviantArt along with all the details of what it's made of. I wish I had been able to take a picture of how well it glows in the dark though. :C The next Pokemon hair clip I'll be doing is Cyndaquil and then perhaps I'll finish off the Mews I have already cut out. Here's a little teaser for Cyndaquil...

Cyndaquil

It'll be much cuter when it's done and all the details have been added. <3

Now for some doodles! I warn you guys now that this doodle post is going to end with a lot of Animal Crossing: Wild World related things, hopefully you'll enjoy it anyway. :P

I had been searching for a game/program that will allow me to draw on my Nintendo DSi. I would actually go onto Pictochat just to doodle sometimes and I can't tell you how many silly Pictochat conversations I had with my sister that I wished I could save. Flipnote does let me draw, but it's very limited in terms of colors and what you can do. Then finally I ran into Inchworm Animation and it's like a mini Photoshop on my DSi and I have been enjoying it thoroughly.

<3

Haunter is of course the first thing I doodled on there to test the game/program out. I've drawn Kimba/Leo and his mother not too long after. It also animates and lets you save as a flash which is something I'll have to test out someday.

Sailor Mercury and Pluto

Here's something I intend on making pretty in Photoshop someday for the purpose of posting onto the Tumblr, Sailor Moon Secrets. It'll be a very personal post, but I still want to do it.

I've mentioned how on Animal Crossing I play as a boy and named myself Sonikku, but I don't think anyone realizes that I actually tend to think of my character as Sonic the blue blur himself (SatAM Sonic if we want to get into specifics). He lives in a town named Knothole and rarely ever walks...it was bound to happen. When I bought the mohawk wig my mental image of Sonic on Animal Crossing was complete and I squealed with glee when I was able to color my hair blue. Here's a few of my favorite outfits that Sonikku has worn...

AC:WW Sonikku

The top outfit is what he's actually wearing at the moment, it reminds me of a scientist (I have a weak spot for nerdy outfits <3). There have been a lot more fashions in Sonikku's AC life of course. :P Now here's how my mind sees Sonikku in the bottom two outfits.

Waifu included. :3

My waifu Daisy is pretty much Sonikku's Sally in AC. I've had some silly adventures as Sonikku and have had some that influenced me to actually draw a comic. Yep...I doodled a whole comic (three notebook pages in one sitting because I was afraid if I stopped I'd never finish it) based on something that happened to me on AC. It's as silly as it already sounds. Anyone who plays should be able to get the gist of what's going on, but either way I promise I'll explain everything at the end of the comic.

Oh noes!
Money makes Sonikku go Super in AC:WW
Yes, that's the voice I have given the tarantulas in my mind...
D:

I would like to actually doodle more comics about this because it gets hilariously worse for poor Sonikku. I can't describe how much work it was to clean this up...it probably didn't help that I have no scanner and had to take pictures of all the doodles in this post. Yep...that's my horrid handwriting, hopefully it's legible. In AC bug catching has taken up most of my time because the beetles are abundant at the times I play, they seemed to be helping me earn money faster than fishing and I was still trying to pay off my loan from Nook. Tarantulas and scorpions are worth the most, but I had yet to encounter either until basically what happened in the comic...at first the noise did startle me because most of the noises that meant bugs were more bug like noises like the cicadas...not rustling noises. I heard that noise and thought of this clip from Pablo Francisco as I was trying to figure out what was making the noise. Then I saw the tarantula almost as big as Sonikku's head and thought screw that and ran (I turn quite girly around bugs in real life which may have been the cause of that reaction). I did come back to try and catch it, but apparently having your net out makes them angry and they will actually attack you if they see you with your net sooooo, yeah it attacked Sonikku. You then black out and wake up in front of your house. Let's just say I have yet to catch a tarantula and I am also paranoid when I hear the rustling noise. >_>;

I hope you enjoyed my doodles as much as I enjoyed drawing them. I'm actually starting to want to do a post with my own brainchildren, but I'm still paranoid about posting them. It'd be nice to share something that isn't exactly a doodle on here. Perhaps someday.

Oh, dat delicious!

Cookie Monster's nomming noises remixed in Success'n'Mistreet by Luna C + S3RL make me happy, not to mention The Count laughing too. Aside from all the Disney albums I downloaded I've been listening to a bunch of DJ S3RL tracks after my cousin had played his Neon Genesis remix when we stayed at her NoHo school dwelling. Speaking of my cousin, whom my sister and I have nicknamed Kimmychu because of her obsession with Pikachu, she's the one who has brought me to make Pokemon hair clips.

Not finished, but already hideously cute...

I'm making Pikachu for her, but the only one finished, as anyone who has me added on Facebook knows, is Haunter. I'm resorting to using felt for Pikachu's brown markings because aside from acrylic paint it's the best thing I have. I have black fabric paint for the ear markings. I keep wanting to add glow in the dark fabric paint only because she's an avid raver (also nearly deaf because of it), but have yet to think of a good way to add it onto Pikachu without it looking like I threw it on there just because I can. I made a Cyndaquil pattern (for my sister since her Pokesona is a Cyndaquil) as well, but I lack the appropriate colors of fleece. It will give me a chance to make a Squirtle pattern to accompany her Cyndaquil when I can head into LA for more fleece shopping.

<3

My Haunter clip seen here being modeled by myself. I added glow in the dark fabric paint around his eyes and am debating if I should cover his eyes completely in it as well since it dries almost clear. Poor Haunter was my guinea pig and I actually ended up sewing him together twice. He's a little frayed because of that, but I love him dearly and wear him for comfort when I get home because my Creeper is really starting to get to me. He's glued to a giant version of those hair clips that you simply bend open and closed. Shiny Mew will be his companion after Pikachu is done. C: The regular colored Mew I'm actually making just because I can. I've actually been considering making a bunch of these with and without the clips just to sell for money in something like Etsy, but I doubt anyone would buy any.

I need to add this because of how I ended the last post...

The first Ariel (I'm guessing it's for an Under The Sea area of the ride) I actually think is awkward looking and unless they have fish constantly swimming around her hair they should have done her hair like the second Ariel animatronic, but I'm hoping she'll look much better IN the ride. :P

Spriiiiinggg!!!11!

It's getting warmer which means I can actually sleep now! (Until I start to suffocate in my stuffy room anyway.) Gueeessss which season it is on Animal Crossing? I'll give you a hint...

Spring!!!11!

Did you guess? I promise this is not the silliest thing I have drawn for Animal Crossing. That was me pretty much upon seeing all the butterflies and other various bugs flitting about Knothole, but with an inner mantra of Mr. Krabs' voice saying "Money, money, money, money, money!" as I capture them. Yes, it's Spring...complete with rainbow.

AC:WW Rainbow

I'm still trying to payoff my mortgage with Nook, but some of our neighbors make it worthwhile. <3

Daisy, Poncho and Mitzi <3

There's mai waifu, Daisy, our homie, Poncho, and the equally adorable, Mitzi. I check nearly everyday to make sure these three DO NOT leave Knothole.

I've been a bit of a sad sack lately, but these things pass. I'm just stressed out for various reasons. I got a haircut! It's shorter than I've had it for years, but I've gotten used to it. I'm making more geeky things! It's another present, but my sister and I like the idea so much that I will most likely make more for ourselves if everything works out. I'll post pictures here when it's done.

I ran into this and...gah...I cannot explain the love I have for Disney's animatronics. Anything related to having to work with animatronics would be my dream job. They fascinate me! Inside and out! I want to go on this ride simply for the animatronics. <3 (Fun Fact: When I was little I saw The Little Mermaid in theaters and giant evil Ursula at the end scared the bejeezus out of me.)

I have a problem...

...and it's name is Tumblr. I can wander through it for hours. HOURS! Okay, Tumblr isn't my only addiction. Socks...fun socks, character socks, rainbow socks <3, striped socks and bonus if any of the previously mentioned socks are knee highs. Yep...my sister blames me for liking socks now. It's like my TMNT sweater, I just feel better when I'm wearing it. Now thanks to Puddin' (my sexy geek) we can add Animal Crossing to my addictions. My AC:WW self is a boy named Sonikku who usually has a curly mustache and lives in the town of Knothole. We have three residents we love, Poncho (he is so black and we adore him for it), Mitzi (she's just a sweetie) and Daisy moved in not too long ago and I squealed as soon as I saw her because she is the most adorable puppy.

Poncho and Sonikku

Our town tune is the guitar riff of the Seether Careless Whisper cover. C:

I recently learned that my sister's friend who lives here in California with us has never been to Disneyland. I feel a moral obligation to take her, but it costs money. >:C I also want to go because I want to see the gorgeous Murphy in all her glory. Murphy is the nickname given to the new animatronic Maleficent in Fantasmic. We actually went on the year she was to make her debut, but well...they named named her Murphy after Murphy's law "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.".  The dragon before this one was named Bucky because the tubes for her fire looked like buck teeth and the Florida Maleficent is named Vivian (though I have yet to find out why). But, but...ugh, just look at her!

<3 <3 <3 We were so peeved that we had missed seeing her by like a week. I've been aching to go back with a decent camera anyway. *siiiiigh*

I'll end today's post with something I made this week. I follow fuckyeahsotc on Tumblr and they posted this...

I was listening to this song and wanted to try and find a new way to draw males (don't get me started at how bad I am at drawing guys) and for some really strange reason I wanted to use my tablet. I suck at drawing with it because I can't get over the fact that I'm not looking at what I'm drawing WHERE I'm drawing it. Thus everything I try to draw with it always looks sketchy and messy, but I started doodling and couldn't stop. I could probably blame my muse hours too. Then this happened...

Wander Corrupted

I find Wander's (I am so tempted to type Wanda because that's how I say it) sacrifice throughout the game absolutely beautiful. His corrupted/cursed form is my favorite as you can see. The whole game and Ico just get me right in the girly and imaginative areas of my brain and although I have never played either game, I am addicted. I'm a sucker for atmospheric games as it is.

The Tale of the Megaman Pillow

New year and a new post! Remember my "project"? Well it's done and although not in time for Christmas it was done and given before the end of the year. What was it? My attempt at making a classic Megaman sprite pillow. I knew it was going to be quite a bit of work as I got down to seriously planning how I was going to make it, but yes well...

It starts...

The beginnings...the purple construction paper littered on the left there are my attempt at making a pattern. At first I thought I would sew it together pixel by pixel, but...just think about that for a minute and realize how insane that seems. Fuju was my constant companion throughout the process.

Slowly, but surely...

As time went on I would work on him for hours and feel like I did nothing, but I knew he was coming together somehow. It became painfully obvious that I am nocturnal along with my muse. 12am to three is my best time to work because my muse is evil along with whatever runs my energy. I could feel terrible, nauseous, migraine, you name it, but as soon as 12-3am comes around I am gooooood. :│

Megaman's Bizarro brother...

Then finally the hard part is done and all that is left is to sew on his back, stuff him, close him up and this madness can end and I can be in bed at these hours rather than be continuously creeped out by one of the people in my house in the morning while I try to work on him for a few more minutes (by minutes I mean hours of course :P). My sister and I would joke that he looks like Megaman's retarded brother this way. I ran into some serious setbacks the closer I got to finishing him, but I was determined to send him that Christmas Eve, sleep or no sleep. Funny thing is even when he was finished and I even had time to nap before I had to run to the post office and get ready to go to Bakersfield, I couldn't sleep. Maybe 15 minutes of just barely slipping from consciousness, but I woke right back up and tossed and turned as I seem to be destined to do this winter because I don't deal with cold well...especially when I'm trying to sleep.

C:

Complete and striking a pose with his fleece brother, Kirby, just before they are wrapped and ready to go to whom they were meant for. My DeviantArt has a picture of him alone.

And now...Shimeji! I ran into these while wandering the internet the way I always do and fell in love with the cuteness. They're little desktop mascots of a sort. I've had programs that did something similar, but they cannot compare to the cute these have. I downloaded a few that interested me and my desktop soon looked like this...

:D

Wander is the one that lead me to the others which are Red(Pokemon), Mew, Gastly, Haunter, Typhlosion, Eevee, Missingno, and even Trollface. They actually don't bother much, but they multiply as time goes on and even though I had got rid of a few of them I still ended up with this...

Cute Chaos

They did slow down my computer once it got ridiculous. You can't see it too well, but there are some hiding behind my open windows. I was watching She's The Man and playing Solitaire, because I can't seem to just watch movies. >_<; In the end I decided to close them all except Wander and Typhlosion. I hadn't even thought of my own little inside joke with these two until this happened...

<3

Aside from being so cute I squealed and took a screenshot, I then remembered that on my Pokemon Soul Silver I chose Cyndaquil (who evolves, eventually, into a Typhlosion) and named him Wander after the hero from Shadow of the Colossus. I laughed at myself and was even happier to have them wandering my desktop, but they too multiplied into chaos before I went to bed.

You can grab your own here!

Guess what?! :D

Nope...it isn't chicken butt. I finished Kirby!!!

*kermit flail*

Kirby Plush Complete

Isn't he cute? He's as huggable as he looks.

He even has a tag which according to Captain (my sister) makes him "legit". :P

Kirby's Tag

His tag is thanks to Miss Label. They are very affordable and quick to respond. I got them faster than I thought as well. It's located on his left "butt" cheek.

One more photo with me so you can get an idea of just how big he is. Sorry about all my ugly, hopefully Kirby's cuteness can overpower me.

Me and Kirby

I used Seremere's Kirby Plush Tutorial, but well...it should be rather obvious I didn't follow it completely. Especially in materials. He's aaaalll fleece...and a looooooooooooot of thread and stuffing. I also took a lot of liberties while putting him together. Making Kirby was certainly a learning process and if you look at him closely enough you can see which part I sewed first. It's part of his flaws, but I guess I'll just say it makes him unique. When I do things that have a tutorial I never seem to be able to duplicate the results. I just hope the person I'm giving him to loves him. Problem is her favorite is really Meta Knight, but I am NOT going to drive myself crazy trying to make him when my next project already looks like a puzzle from hell. It's also my first attempt to make something without a pattern or tutorial, but dammit I'm going to do it if it kills me...which it just might. D: I will admit that making these feels a bit therapeutic for me. It's nice to watch things on my laptop and lovingly sew together each piece by hand and somehow they come together to make things like Nny and Kirby.

Doodles #1

Before we continue with today's post...

Amanda Benavides's Pokedex - Anything-Goes Pokedex

I am the awesomest Pokemon. *nods*

Now for something completely different...a sketch/doodle post! Woooo! I am so tempted to use a bunch of reaction gifs, but I will restrain myself for you guys. It took me a while to work up the courage to post some doodles simply because I usually wuss out at the last possible moment because I'm shy about the things I draw. I'm still debating on whether or not to post my original characters on this blog, but it's a bit too public for my brainchildren and I am paranoid about people stealing my drawings as it is...which explains my love of watermarks which you'll see. Let's begin shall we?

Sailor Nicole & Princess Sally Moon

This is quite possibly the oldest one I'll post today, mostly because it's in pen which means it's in my small notebook. I had been watching Sailor Moon I think and remembered the infamous Super Special and started thinking of who would be the other scouts again and now that the comic is a bit further along than it was then I thought Nicole would make the perfect Sailor Mercury (She's holding "herself" as a replacement for the lil' computer Mercury uses). I love the Princess dress so I wanted to draw Sally in it.

Sally Moon School Outfit

This was drawn in my larger notebook which I've been drawing in pencil in. Normally I doodle in pen, but it didn't feel right for this notebook. *shrug* I'm weird, this shouldn't be news to anyone. My mind wandered into Sally Moon thoughts again and I ended up drawing her in Usagi's school outfit. I have a tiny problem with Sally being considered Usagi because it's VERY out of character for her. The Super Special was vague with how closely they were parodying Sailor Moon so it's open for debate. They also didn't add Usagi's meatballs to Sally which just never seemed right to me...so I draw her with them. This is a cute one, I still think I may finish it up and try to add some bells and whistles in Photoshop.

The Bride

This one is actually older than Sally just above. I have been wanting to do a tribute to different things from the Disney Parks. Rides long gone and forgotten and even ride elements like this one. This is The Bride, the one in the parks now (Phantom Manor in Disneyland Paris doesn't count) is known as Constance/The Black Widow Bride/Bride2.0. After seeing Constance I wanted to smack whoever thought she was a good idea upside the head...hard. I remember the original bride well because the Attic area used to creep the hell out of me because you could hear her heart beating as soon as you enter it (the pop-up heads back then were also a lot better at scaring the bejeezus out of me...I actually kind of miss being startled by them, they're much tamer now). She's had many revamps, but I basically mixed and matched a few of the original Brides because for whatever reason people took very few pictures of her...trust me, if you do a search now you'll get nearly nothing, but Constance. Doombuggies is the best source for all things Haunted Mansion and its Bride. Go ahead and click the link and it'll take you to a page with nearly all of the Brides that have haunted the mansion's attic. <3 I already have a Photoshop file set up for this one.

Curaré

Last one and the last thing I've sketch/doodled. I've been watching Batman Beyond again (among other things like Outlaw Star <3) and remembered how awesome I thought Curaré was and still is. I needed to try drawing her myself and well...this is what happened. While I drew this one I got the idea to draw her standing in a field filled with the flowers/plant she's named after, but yes, this one is nice too. Batman Beyond needs more love and fanart.

I hope you've enjoyed my seemingly endless details on these silly doodles. This isn't the only doodle post I would like to do. I honestly haven't been posting anything to DeviantArt because I haven't felt like I've done anything worthy of posting. Hopefully all of you lovely people that read my blog like them a little bit. I promise I'll post something nice that's not a doodle someday. Ja ne! <3
